Whether you're facing brain cancer now or honoring a loved one who has, our Brain Cancer Warrior program is here to support patients and families every step of the way.
Meet Ashley, your Family Support Resource:
At 7 years old, our youngest of four sons, William, was diagnosed with a rare CNS Embryonal Tumor. He bravely battled for 14 months before trading his sword for wings in February 2024. Through our family’s journey, I experienced firsthand the fear, uncertainty, and overwhelming amount of information families face after a brain cancer diagnosis. I also witnessed the powerful impact of family and community, along with the deep connections formed with other families facing a similar battle.
With a background in Counseling and a lifelong passion for helping others, I feel called to walk alongside families navigating a similar path. My hope is to provide support, understanding, and connection to those at any point in their journey. I do this work because of William. His story guides my mission to support families and advocate for change. In his honor, I am committed to the mission of The Cure Starts Now to find the homerun cure for pediatric brain cancer, because “incurable” is unacceptable.
While the diagnosis of brain cancer is difficult, this toolbox was built by families for families to help provide direction.
The Brain Cancer Support Group for Families is created by and for parents who are dedicated to honoring our Brain Cancer Warriors, supporting fellow brain cancer families and celebrating the efforts being made to further brain cancer research and support.
Join TodayThe Cure Starts Now loves to celebrate and thank siblings who show such love and support to their brother or sister diagnosed with a brain tumor.
